How the numbers are kept right
Every rate, threshold and allowance the calculators use comes from one versioned data file per tax year, taken from HMRC and GOV.UK pages that are linked on each tool. The current file is version 2026-27.2, checked on 2026-10-29. Unit tests compare the calculators against HMRC worked examples. Read more about who runs the site and the methodology.
